About the Chef

chef-michael.jpgChef Michael has been in the restaurant industry for over 12 years. Having come from a wide range of service styles he is well balanced and makes great gourmet food easily accessible. Chef Michael has cooked for Senators, Heads of State, CEO’s and many others in a private setting. One of Michael’s pleasures is trying anything new or ancient and putting his own spin on it. From curing his own pancetta to traditional Kim Chi and Duck Confit he is consistently challenging himself and classic recipes. However his greatest pleasure is in making the people around him better by helping them understand their food and food style and how to get the most out of each dish. 

Chef Michael’s cooking style is grounded in traditional techniques and classic flavor pairings. Utilizing fresh and quality ingredients and simplicity means you will not have to spend the day searching for ingredients to make his recipes at home. Both the novice and the professional chef will be able to duplicate the recipes and the lessons learned from the classes and the fun will be extended by allowing you to make great tasting food at home or work.

Chef Michael tries to make gourmet food not so fussy. “Great food doesn’t need to make the chef or the people enjoying the food feel uptight or pretentious.  Ultimately, food should bring family and friends together, great food should make that time that much more enjoyable.”
